At Life Time Fitness ("Life Time," "our" or "we"), we have adopted policies, procedures, rules and regulations ("policies") designed to provide for the safe, enjoyable and healthy use of our premises and events by you-our members and guests.
These policies apply to your conduct on Life Time's premises, which include its centers and all outdoor areas, including its parking lots, sidewalks, and outdoor pool, turf and child center play areas ("premises"). They also apply to your conduct during its programs, training, events or other Life Time-sponsored activities off the premises ("events").
These policies supplement those posted or otherwise provided in our centers or at our events. We may adopt policies appplicable to a single center. In some instances, the law may establish different requirements applicable to certain centers and may not be called out here. To the extent of a conflict with other policies, the more restrictive policy applies.
If you violate any of these policies, your membership or center access may be suspended or terminated. Our decision on all questions regarding construction or interpretation of these policies is final.
We may change these policies at any time without notice in our sole discretion. You may find the most recent version of these policies at www.lifetimefitness.com and/or myLT.com. As a member or guest of Life Time, you are responsible to review and comply with these policies at all times.
Proper Conduct. We strive to uphold a safe, fun, family-oriented environment. As such, we expect proper, respectful conduct on the premises at all times. We do not permit disrespectful conduct toward members, guests, employees ("team members") or vendors, including but not limited to vulgar, profane, indecent, offensive, violent, hostile, aggressive, threatening, harassing, stalking, fraudulent, or other inappropriate conduct or language.
Weapons. You may not bring or use weapons of any kind on the premises for any reason.
Proper Attire. You must wear proper attire at all times, including shirts and shoes, unless noted in a specific area.
Membership Cards. As a member, you may not enter the center without your membership card, which you must present to the front desk to be swiped upon entry. Because access to Life Time's centers varies by membership level, you must have the required membership, in good standing, in order to access a center. If you lose your membership card, you may have to pay a fee to replace it. Please return your membership card on your last day of access.
Personal Belongings. You must store all workout bags, coats and personal belongings in a locker. Be sure that your locker is secured before you leave it. You must keep your locker key with you at all times without exception, including while swimming or showering; do not leave your locker key unattended at any time, such as by pinning it to a towel. You may use our lockers only while you are on the premises; you may not leave any personal belongings in a locker overnight. Do not bring or store any valuables on the premises, including watches, jewelry or large amounts of cash. Do not leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle. Be sure your vehicle is locked. We are not liable or responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged personal property, whether from lockers, vehicles or other locations on the premises. Please inquire in person at the Member Services desk for lost articles that may have been found.
Family Locker Rooms. We expect proper etiquette in our locker rooms. You may not spit, sleep or engage in any sexual conduct in our locker rooms. You may not shave in, or use in the nude, the sauna, spa, or steam room. You may not work out or wear rubber suits or excessive clothing in the sauna or steam room. You must dispose of towels in the designated container. You may not use a cell phone or any camera in our locker rooms. Our family locker room is for use by a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult (such as a nanny, au pair, or grandparent) with his or her opposite-sex small children only.
Injuries. If you are injured while on the premises, please seek immediate assistance from a Life Time team member. A team member can provide or arrange for appropriate medical assistance and complete an incident report.
Physical Examination. We strongly encourage that you have a complete physical examination prior to beginning any new exercise or nutrition program.
Training Services. Our personal training services include instruction, coaching, advice, lessons or demonstration concerning physical exercise, physical fitness, exercise strategies, nutrition, wellness, fitness products, fitness equipment and other fitness-related activities by personal trainers, nutrition coaches, teaching pros or other instructors ("personal training"). Personal training services are available to members, typically for a fee per session, upon completion of a Fitness Program Agreement.
- No Personal Training by Members or Guests. You may not solicit or conduct on the premises any personal training as defined above, with or without compensation. Life Time retains sole discretion to determine whether a member or guest is engaged in personal training.
- Leagues. You may not organize your own informal or formal sports leagues, tournaments, or programs, including but not limited to basketball, tennis, racquetball, or squash leagues. We employ our own team members and online tools to facilitate league play at our centers. Life Time retains sole discretion to determine whether a member or guest is engaged in organizing or participating in non-Life Time league play.
Solicitation. Unless expressly authorized by Life Time Corporate Communications, you may not solicit-whether in person or in writing-any members, guests or team members on the premises or during off-premises events, including but not limited to solicitations for political or religious purposes, media interviews, business opportunities, or competitive products or services.
Cell Phones. You may not use cellular phones in any locker rooms, sauna, steam room, or while using any health or fitness equipment. Please use common courtesy when using cell phones in other areas of the center.
Photography. You may not take photographs or video on the premises without the advance approval of the Life Time Corporate Communications Department or, in the case of birthday parties, the general manager or manager on duty.
Food. You may not bring your own food into the center, but you may bring clear non-alcoholic liquids in closeable, unbreakable bottles. Unless purchased for consumption outside the center, food from our LifeCafe or Bistro must remain in those areas. No outside food or beverage allowed in the LifeCafe or Bistro. Our LifeCafe and Bistro use peanuts and other products that may cause allergic reactions.
Alcohol. You may not consume alcohol on the premises unless it is purchased from or otherwise provided by a Life Time center, and only then in designated areas. You may not use our equipment, services or programs while under the influence of alcohol.
Drugs. You may not use, possess or sell any illegal drug on the premises, including but not limited to anabolic steroids or other illegal growth-enhancing substance. You may not use our equipment, services or programs while under the influence of illegal drugs. You should not use, or should stop using, any equipment, service or program if your prescription medication adversely impacts or influences your ability to safely use it.
Smoking. You may not smoke, chew or use any other tobacco products on Life Time's premises including any outdoor areas (e.g., sidewalks or parking lot), or at Life Time's events.
Center Closure or Access Restrictions. We reserve the right to close or restrict access, without advance notice, to any area of or the entire center or premises for any reason, including but not limited to closures or restrictions related to construction, remodeling, repair, or maintenance (whether planned or unplanned) or for health or safety reasons, including but not limited to weather, natural disasters, power outages, and medical issues. Your obligation to pay membership dues is not dependent upon usage, availability or access to the center.
Illness. You may not enter the premises if you have a contagious illness that may be transferred through ordinary use of our equipment, services or programs. You must cover exposed lesions or rashes.
Animals. You may not bring any animal on the premises unless it is a service animal performing its duties in the care of a person who requires its assistance or is an on-duty law enforcement animal ("exempt animals"). All exempt animals must be licensed, vaccinated and have identification tags (where applicable); must remain leashed or caged and under a non-Life Time responsible person's control at all times; and must be removed immediately if it causes a disturbance, interrupts the work of others or poses a health or safety risk to those who are exposed to it. The animal's owner must promptly remove animal waste and is liable for any damage caused by the animal.
Damage to Center. You may not damage the center in any way, including but not limited any damage to, or theft of, exercise equipment, towels, supplies or other center property, such as balls breaking lights. If you, or a guest, youth member or junior member on your membership, damages the center, you must pay for it.
Non-members. Excluding Life Cafe and LifeSpa and Salon, Life Time Fitness centers and its programs, services, amenities, benefits, programs, classes, events, are for members only or guests of members as permitted by our Guest Policy. Non members who wish to use Life Cafe and LifeSpa and Salon must sign in or register at the front desk by executing an assumption of risk and waiver/release of liability agreement prior to entry onto the premises.

Life Time offers various monthly memberships, including memberships that afford center access and memberships that afford access to our online resources only. Our membership levels, prices, dues, fees, amenities, benefits, programs, classes, events amenities are subject to change or termination at any time. Life Time retains complete control over all matters affecting or relating to its members or memberships, including but not limited to any documentation or information that may be required of members or guests such as proof of joint financial obligations, cohabitation, familial/guardianship status, age, or residency.
- Child Members. Given our commitment to a family-friendly environment, we welcome children as members, with membership changes permitted or required at age three months, 12 years old, and 21 years old. Certain additional fees may apply to changes to your membership.
- Junior Members (Three Months To 11 Years Old). As a parent or legal guardian, you may add to your membership a dependent child older than three months but younger than 12 upon payment of prevailing monthly junior membership dues as applicable. A junior membership is required for junior members to use Life Time's child center, as well as its gymnasiums and indoor and outdoor pool areas during specified family hours as permitted by Life Time. You or a permissible responsible adult must directly supervise junior members at all times unless they are in the child center, a structured Member Activities program, or other formal Life Time activity.
- Youth Members (12 to 20 Years Old). Once a junior member turns 12, a parent or guardian may add a dependent child to the membership to create a couple or family membership as defined by Life Time, at which time the youth member may use the center without adult supervision as permitted by Life Time policies. A fee may apply if the child is not added as a youth member within 30 days of the child's twelfth birthday. Youth members under 18 may not use the center between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. or during a local curfew, whichever is more restrictive. Once a youth member turns 21, the person, as an adult, must purchase his or her own separate membership and pay applicable joining fees.
- Grandparents, Nannies and Au Pairs. We allow a grandparent, or a certified nanny or au pair who is at least 18 years old, to add to his or her own membership a current member's child for whom the grandparent, nanny or au pair is responsible. We will charge only one membership for the child's junior membership dues. We require that both the parent or guardian and the non-parent caretaker sign an agreement related to care of the child in our center and submit proof of the parties' familial or employment relationship (e.g., a birth certificate, cancelled checks, nanny certification, etc.) For more information, visit the Front Desk or myLT.com.
- Disabled Members. We welcome disabled members to use our centers. If a disabled member must be accompanied by a non-member assistant or caretaker to reasonably accommodate the member's use of the center, we require both parties to sign an agreement related to such use of the center. For more information, please visit the Front Desk or myLT.com.
- Dues Payments. We collect monthly membership dues, including junior dues, and certain other payments (such as recurring payments for services) within the first five days of each month (typically on the first business day of each month) by electronic fund transfer from the designed bank account or credit or debit card on file for your membership ("EFT Account"). If we are unable to successfully draft payments from your EFT Account within the first five days of each month, we will continue to attempt collection thereafter, typically each Tuesday and Friday of the subsequent month(s). We are not responsible for overdraft fees. We do not issue regular monthly invoices. To establish your membership, you must provide an EFT Account. In special circumstances, however, you may avoid a forthcoming monthly dues electronic funds transfer by providing an alternate method of payment to the center at least three business days prior to the last day of the month. To change your designated dues-paying account, please see the Front Desk or visit myLT.com. Dues are subject to change by Life Time at any time. In the event of a change in dues, Life Time may provide any notice required by law by regular mail or by email to the address(es) associated with the membership.
- ClubTab. We offer a complimentary service called ClubTab in which authorized adult and youth members on a membership may purchase products and services in its centers using a credit card account placed on file with Life Time. Once an adult member designates a credit card account ("ClubTab Account") and any adult and youth member(s) (from 12 to 21) authorized to use that account for purchases, the authorized members may purchase items in the center by presenting their membership card or telephone number at the point of sale. Individual purchases are posted to the ClubTab Account as they occur, separate from monthly membership dues. To start or stop ClubTab, or change your Club Tab Account or authorized members, please visit the Front Desk or myLT.com.
- Membership Changes and Information. Subject to applicable restrictions, you may make changes to or obtain information about your membership after you have joined Life Time, such as changing your EFT or Club Tab Account, adding or removing members, or upgrading or downgrading membership levels. Except as permitted on myLT.com, you must make membership changes or request membership information in person at the center, not by phone, email, fax or online. We may charge a $15.00 service fee to make changes to your membership. We may collect service fees on or about the date you make the membership change, or within the first five days of each month (typically the first business day of the month) by EFT from the designed bank account or credit or debit card on file for your membership. Fees are subject to change by Life Time at any time. To make a change to or obtain information about your membership, please visit the Front Desk. Generally, members may make changes or obtain information about a membership as follows:
- Primary members. The designated primary member is typically the EFT Account holder. The primary member may cancel the entire membership, add or remove any members on the membership, change the EFT Account, change or add or subtract authorized members on their own ClubTab Account, correct erroneous membership information, transfer a Founders or Legacy membership, obtain his or her own membership information (center usage, payment or EFT history), and make payments on the membership.
- If the EFT Account holder is a non-member, that person or corporation may change the EFT Account, cancel the entire membership, obtain EFT payment history only, or make payments on the membership.
- Partner members. The designated partner member may cancel the entire membership, remove any member from the membership except the primary member, add a youth or junior member, change the EFT Account, change or add or subtract authorized members on their own ClubTab Account, correct erroneous membership information, obtain his or her own center usage history, and make payments on the membership.
- Youth members. A youth member may remove himself or herself from the membership, obtain his or her own center usage history, and make payments on the membership.
- Junior members. A junior member may not make changes to or obtain information about the membership.
Members may not obtain membership information upon request other than as provided above. Specifically, without valid legal process, members or guests may not obtain other private, confidential, privileged and/or proprietary internal business information, including but not limited to incident reports, video surveillance footage, or membership-related photographs. Please direct any subpoena or other legal process requesting such information to the Life Time Fitness legal department. We reserve the right to disclose such information in our sole discretion to aid the law enforcement process or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
- Membership Suspension or Termination. We permit you to suspend or terminate your membership under certain circumstances upon advance written notice.
- Flex Membership. Life Time Fitness offers a Standard-Flex membership that allows members to deactivate access to centers within their designated Membership Level (Onyx, Platinum, Gold or Bronze) upon payment of a recurring monthly charge determined by Life Time Fitness during the deactivation or Flex period ("Flex Rate"), and may activate regular monthly access upon payment of the member's dues rate at the time of deactivation plus any increase in dues, fees or costs associated with 12 membership that occurred during the Flex Period ("Prior Plus Rate"). Flex members have myLT.com access while center access has been deactivated. To deactivate center access and begin a Flex membership, advance written notice is required; please contact your center for further details.
- Membership Freeze. Life Time will freeze the portion of the membership affected by medical or military purposes only. To freeze your membership if you are a Single or the portion of your Couple or Family membership affected, you must provide to a Life Time customer service representative a statement from the treating physician or orders from the military branch of service that you are unable to use any Life Time center. Upon receipt of this statement, Life Time will freeze your membership or the portion of your membership that has been affected for medical purposes through the date designated in the letter from your physician or through the date designated on your military orders. Unless otherwise specified, the freeze period will be for a period of 90 days. After the freeze period, your membership or the portion of your membership that has been affected will automatically reactivate. To obtain a medical freeze for an additional period without reactivation, you must submit another statement from your treating physician prior to expiration of your initial freeze. Life Time does not permit retroactive freezes. If you have any questions regarding your membership, please contact your local Life Time.
- Membership Termination: Because we do not use long-term membership contracts, you may terminate your membership for any reason upon advance written notice to Life Time Fitness as provided in your membership contract. See "Service or Program Cancellations and Refunds-Membership" below.
- Membership Suspension or Termination by Life Time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership, or any member on your membership, at any time for a failure to comply with these or any of our other rules, regulations, procedures or policies (which may be amended as necessary), or for conduct we determine to be improper or contrary to our best interests.
- myLT.com. We welcome members (including non-access members, such as Flex members) to use our online resources, including but not limited to myLT.com. Use of myLT.com is subject to the myLT.com use agreement and our online community standards or guidelines. If you violate such agreements, standards or guidelines, your membership or myLT.com access may be suspended or terminated.

REFUNDS, RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
- Merchandise. Merchandise in like new condition with original packaging and tags may be exchanged or returned for a full refund up to 30 days from the original date of purchase. Proof of purchase is required, such as a receipt. Merchandise may be returned at any center, but it must be returned to the same area of the center as the original purchase location (e.g., LifeSpa & Salon purchases must be returned to the LifeSpa & Salon). Online purchases may be subject to different refund policies.
- Services or Programs. Services or programs may be cancelled at the location where the service or program is or was to be provided, subject to any specific terms and conditions in contracts applicable to the service or program.
- Membership. A primary or partner member may terminate the membership (or any member may remove or terminate himself or herself from a membership) for any reason upon advance written notice to Life Time as provided in our membership contract with you. To provide written notice of termination, you must complete a termination request form in person at the center or send a letter request via certified mail (return receipt requested) to the center. We do not accept termination requests by phone, email, fax or online.
- Termination within First 14 Days of Membership. Upon written notice of termination, you may terminate your membership within 14 days of its activation, provided you have not previously cancelled a membership with Life Time. If we receive your written notice within 14 days of activation of your membership, we will refund your paid Joining Fees and Membership Dues. Except as provided herein, we will not refund any products or services purchased by or provided as part of a membership package to you or any other member on your membership.
Termination after First 14 Days of Membership. To terminate a membership, the member must provide advance written notice to Life Time Fitness, according to their General Terms Agreement, but generally, by the end of the month in order for the termination to be effective on the last day of the following month (e.g., written notice received by Life Time Fitness between January 1 and January 31 will terminate a membership effective February 28). Terminations are effective on the last day of a month. A member may provide written notice of termination in person at the center; by certified mail return receipt requested to their local Life Time Fitness facility; or as otherwise permitted by Life Time Fitness. If a member does not provide timely advance written notice, the member will pay monthly membership dues at the regular rate for the current and following month, during which time the member will continue to have center access.
Camps. You may cancel participation in a camp only by making a written cancellation request to the Activity Center or Member Activities Department. Except as noted below, if we receive your request less than 14 days before the first day of camp, you forfeit your $50 deposit and paid camp fees. If we receive your request 29 to 14 days before the first day of camp, you forfeit your $50 deposit, but we will refund remaining paid camp fees. If we receive your request 30 or more days before the first day of camp, we will refund both your $50 deposit and paid camp fees. If you do not make payment by the due date, we will advance another camper from the waiting list. If we cancel a scheduled camp, we refund your $50 deposit and paid camp fees if we cannot find a suitable substitute class for the registrant. T-shirt payments are non-refundable once the shirt is received by participant.
Athletic Events. We do not refund prepaid entry fees for athletic events, including but not limited to triathlons and runs.
Fitness Programs, Group (Non-Camp) Activities, and Individual Activities. You may cancel fitness programs (e.g., personal training, nutrition coaching, Pilates, T.E.A.M. programs), group classes (e.g., swimming and youth fitness classes), and private or individual classes (e.g., private tennis or swim lessons) only by hand delivering or sending written cancellation notice to the relevant Department Head at the center where the services were to be provided and by contacting your individual trainer, instructor or coach. We will refund all amounts paid if we receive your written cancellation notice within three (3) business days of the date you purchased the program or classes or at any time before your first session has been serviced, whichever is later. If we receive your cancellation notice after your first session has been serviced, we will not refund any amount you have already paid, but we will service your paid sessions on the schedule then in effect. Unused sessions expire one year from purchase. We will not refund any amount for a scheduled session that you fail to attend or fail to reschedule or postpone (by contacting your designated trainer, instructor or coach) at least 24 hours in advance. We will provide a refund or credit for programs or classes that we cancel if we cannot find a suitable alternative for the registrant.
Spa Services. If you are unsatisfied with a spa service because we did not provide it as requested, we will attempt to resolve the issue with the same or a different Life Time team member at no additional charge. If you are unsatisfied with a spa service even though we performed or provided it as requested, we will attempt to resolve the issue, but you will be charged for the additional work. If the issue cannot be resolved, we will refund the cost of the service. We will not pay for you to go elsewhere to resolve the issue. We may charge a 25% cancellation fee if you do not cancel or reschedule an appointment at least 24 hours in advance.
Refund Methods. Unless otherwise required by law, we will issue refunds only to the payor as follows:
Credit Card. Payments made via credit card will be refunded to the same credit card account used at the time of purchase.
Cash or Check. Payments made via cash, check or bank withdrawal may be refunded by means of a Life Time gift card, membership dues credit, or check. Refunds for payments by check will be processed within 30 days, unless the payor provides a copy of the cleared bank draft or check from his or her financial institution in which case the refund may be made more quickly.
EFT from Bank Account. Payments made via electronic fund transfer from a bank account (EFT or ACH) may be refunded by means of a Life Time gift card, membership dues adjustment credit, or credit to the payor's original bank account. Refunds will be processed within 30 days.
Gift Card. Payments made via gift card will be refunded to a Life Time Fitness gift card.

We invite guests to use our centers, whether with a member or as walk-in visitors to the center. We may restrict overall or individual guest privileges or guest use of the center at any time in our sole discretion, including limiting guest use to non-peak, family or open hours, restricting guest use of certain amenities, or to limiting participation to certain scheduled or special programs. Guest hours vary by location. Before each visit, all adult guests must complete and sign a Guest Register and present a valid driver's license or government-issued identification card (and all guests under sixteen must provide a home phone number), which we use to verify guest information, track guest usage, and market or solicit as permitted by you and/or the law. Guests must meet with a membership advisor and tour the center.
Guests of Members. Members may bring guests to Life Time centers ("guest privileges"). The number of guest privileges for members vary by membership level. A single guest privilege may be used by an individual, couple or immediate family at the same residence ("guest"), but no more than two guests are permitted on a single visit. A member may extend a guest privilege to the same guest no more than once every 60 days; guest fees apply to any additional visits by that guest within the 60-day period. Members may not use their own guest privileges to access a center in a higher membership level. We track available guest privileges in the member's account, so the guest need not present a physical pass. Unused guest privileges expire at the end of each month or year; they may not be accrued or otherwise carried forward to subsequent periods.
Junior Guests (Under 12). Except while in the child center or participating in a paid Life Time-sponsored program, all junior guests must be accompanied at all times on the premises by either a parent or legal guardian or an adult sponsoring member who is at least 18 years of age. If the junior guest is not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, the sponsoring member and the parent or guardian must each execute the Agreement Regarding Minor Child/Children in Care of Sponsoring Member before accessing the center. (Junior members in the care of a sponsoring member may not use the child center.) If the junior guest is also a junior member, the sponsoring member need not use a guest privilege or pay a guest fee. Guest and family hours vary by location, so check your local center.
- Youth Guests (Ages 12 to 17). Except in the case of paid participation in a Life Time-supervised program, all youth guests must be accompanied at all times on the premises by either a parent or legal guardian or an adult sponsoring member who is at least 18 years of age. Youth guests may not use the child center. Guest and family hours vary by location, so check your local center.
- Guests without a Member. A guest unaccompanied by a member may enjoy one complimentary general-access visit to a Life Time Fitness center each year upon presentation of a valid Life Time Fitness guest pass or special invitation (e.g., web pass, VIP pass, or a membership advisor appointment, email or letter). Guest fees apply to any subsequent visit.
- Guests (without a Member) Using a Life Time Service or Program. Unless otherwise permitted by Life Time, an unaccompanied guest who uses a Life Time service or program open to non-members, including LifeCafe, LifeSpa & Salon, Member Activities programs (e.g., camps, birthday parties) or sports or athletic programs (e.g., leagues or lessons), may not use the center, or any areas of the center, in any way or for any other purpose beyond the particular service or program purchased by the guest. A Guest Register and/or other agreement specific to the service or program must be signed by adult guests on their own behalf and on behalf of any youth guest.

We have adopted policies for our indoor and outdoor aquatics areas ("pool" or "aquatics" area) for your safety and enjoyment. These policies supplement any posted rules and regulations. You must follow all policies, rules, regulations and directives at all times, whether they are written, posted or orally delivered by a lifeguard, attendant or other Life Time team member. Failure to do so may result in your removal from the pool area or suspension or termination of guest privileges or membership.
- The following Aquatics Center policies have been adopted for the safety and enjoyment of our members and guests:
- Children under age 12 are allowed in the pool area during Family Hours when accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, sponsoring member, and/or when participating in organized Life Time Fitness programming. A parent, guardian or sponsoring member must be present at the same body of water the children are in at all times.
Any child under 12 who cannot continuously swim 25 meters must be directly and actively supervised by a parent, legal guardian or sponsoring member who remains within 10 feet of the child at all times.
- An adult must accompany children ages 12–15 when lifeguards are not on duty. In Minnesota an adult must accompany children ages 12–17 when lifeguards are not on duty.
- Children must be at least three months old to be in the pools.
- Please ensure that there are no more than three children under the supervision of one adult.
- Children three months to three years of age must wear swim diapers and/or tight fitting rubber or plastic pants.
- A full body soap and water shower is required prior to pool entry. All oils and lotions must be showered off.
- Proper swim attire is required in the pools and/or whirlpools. Jeans and workout apparel are not allowed.
- A t-shirt and shorts (or cover–up) and shoes must be worn when exiting the locker room and/or aquatics area to go to other areas of the club.
- Running, wrestling, or other rough play is not allowed.
- Inappropriate language or behavior is not allowed.
- Lifeguards and all Aquatics Team Members must be obeyed at all times. Failure to comply with pool rules, whether written or verbal, may result in removal from the Aquatic Center and/or suspension or revocation of membership.
- If there is lightning or thunder in the immediate area, ALL aquatics facilities will be closed immediately, up to and including the indoor pools. All members will be asked to clear the pool deck until the lightning or thunder has left the immediate area.
- Strollers and chairs must be kept 10 feet from the pool to ensure adequate visual and physical clearance for the lifeguards.
- Leisure Pool – Indoor and Outdoor
- Flotation devices may be used as long as you cannot blow air into them. Lifejackets are provided by the Aquatics Team Members on a first–come, first–serve basis. Please return the lifejackets once you are finished using them.
- Bistro food and drink purchases are allowed in the designated outdoor eating area only. No outside food, drink or coolers are allowed at any time, except for clear bottled water. Food and drink is not allowed on the indoor pool deck, except for clear bottled water.
- Kickboards, noodles, or other floatation and swim instruction aides are not allowed in the pools except when used with organized Life Time Fitness programming.
- Adult swim breaks will be held every two hours on the hour during Family Hours. They may be held more frequently if determined necessary. The length of the adult swim break is 10 minutes when indoors and 15 minutes when outdoors. This provides an opportunity for members and lifeguards to use restrooms, apply sun screen, and rehydrate.
- Small pool toys from home are allowed to be used as long as they are used appropriately.
- Flume slide users must wait for the lifeguard to provide a "GO" signal before riding. Only one user may be on the slide at a time.
- Flume Slide Riders must be a minimum of 42 inches tall and able to swim quickly, confidently and unaided to the exit ladder or under the slide drop off area rope. In New Jersey riders must be a minimum of 48 inches tall. In Ohio riders must be 54 inches tall or pass a swim test if between 42–54 inches in order to use the slides.
- Users must ride on their back or bottom, feet first, and keep arms and legs inside the slide at all times.
- For safety reasons, standing, stopping, turning, rotating, kneeling, and head-first riding is not allowed.
- All eyewear must be removed to prevent damage or loss. Swim goggles may be worn.
- Jewelry of any kind (necklaces, rings, bracelets, pins, etc.), keys, and other items, which may scratch the slide, must be removed prior to use of the slide.
- Flume Slide users must walk up the stairs single file. Running, cutting, or horseplay is not allowed.
- Flume Slide users must move quickly to the nearest ladder or under the slide drop area rope upon exiting the slide.
- Lifejackets are not allowed to be worn on the Flume Slides.
- Parents are not allowed to wait in the roped off Flume Slide drop area for their children. They may, however, wait on the outside of the rope to meet their children once they have exited the drop area.
- The lap pools are for ages 12 and older.
- Kickboards, fins, and snorkeling equipment may be used.
- Please offer to share a lane with a waiting member when the pool is busy.
- The whirlpools may be used only by individuals who are age 12 and older.

We have designed the following child center policies to provide a healthy, safe and secure environment for all children. Unless required by law, our child centers are not licensed, nor equipped to provide one-on-one care for children of any age. We may limit use of the child center in our discretion, including designated play spaces. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend child center privileges for failure to follow these policies or other directives or instructions from our child center team members.
- Use of Child Center. Child center may be used only by junior members and guests from three months to 11 years of age ("child"). Unless your Life Time Center has established a more restrictive time limit, a child may use the child center up to two (2) hours per day. Junior members may only use the child center if they have been added to the membership of a parent or legal guardian or, upon execution of the proper agreement, a grandparent, nanny or au pair ("parent" or "you"). The same parent must check in and check out the child, each time by presenting a Life Time membership card or government-issued photo identification card. That parent must remain in the Life Time Center at all times while the child is in the child center. If the child center has reached maximum occupancy, you must wait for space to check in your child. Check your local center for hours; the last check in occurs 15 minutes prior to closing.
- Infant Room. Infants older than three months but younger than one (1) year old may use the infant room. Due to high demand for the infant room, you must make a reservation by contacting the child center up to 48 hours in advance. You must cancel any reservation at least two hours in advance.
- Main/Toddler Room. All one year olds must remain in the main/toddler room. A two year old may be authorized by a parent upon check in to leave the main/toddler room, in which case the child will have full access to all other areas of the child center, including but not limited to any maze, slides or outdoor play areas.
- Full Access. Children three (3) years of age to eleven (11) years of age may access all areas of the child center except the infant room, including the computer area, any gym or maze area, and any outdoor play area. You may request upon check in that your younger children remain in the main/toddler room.
- Late Pick Up or Unused Infant Room Reservations. If you pick up your child from the child center later than the time permitted for use, or you fail to timely cancel an infant room reservation you do not use, we will, after the third time, suspend your child center or infant room privileges for two weeks.
- Security. You and your child must enter and exit together using the proper security gates. For safety reasons, a parent may stay behind the gates in the child center for no more than 10 minutes. You may not take any photographs or video in the child center area. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items from cubbies or other child center areas.
- Behavior. To address behavioral issues, we will implement the use of "time-outs" for children two years of age and older and activity redirection for children younger than two. We will page parents if a crying child cannot be comforted within 10 minutes. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend child center privileges for any child who exhibits unsafe or inappropriate behavior.
- Clothing and Diapers. Children must be completely covered on top and bottom, including shorts, pants, tights or other covering over diapers, underwear or swimsuit bottoms. Children must wear socks and/or shoes; bare feet are not allowed. Wheels on shoes must be removed prior to entry. Parents are responsible, and will be paged to change their own child's wet or soiled diaper.
- Food and Drink. You may bring into the child center a labeled "sippy" cup with water only or, for an infant, a bottle with milk or pre-mixed with formula clearly labeled with your child's name. We will not mix formula for bottles. You may not bring into the child center any juice, milk, soda, snacks, candy, gum or other food from home, the LifeCafe or the Bistro.
- Toys and Electronic Devices. You may not bring into the child center any toys or electronic devices (e.g., cell phones, PSPs, Game Boys, iPods, etc.).
- Sick Children. In an effort to maintain a sanitary and healthy environment, we may exclude, or require that you remove, from the child center any child we deem in our sole discretion to be a sick child. If a child becomes sick while in the child center, you must immediately remove the child, whom we will endeavor to isolate until you check the child out. If your child does not attend day care, preschool, or school due to sickness or illness, your child may not use our child center. We may require a physician's verification of wellness before a sick child returns to the child center. We reserve the right to determine whether a child is sufficiently sick to be excluded or removed from the child center, but a child who exhibits one or more of the following symptoms is subject to exclusion or removal:
- A child with a reportable illness or condition that a physician determines has not had sufficient treatment to reduce risk to others.
- A child with chicken pox, until no longer infectious and the lesions are crusted over.
- A child who has vomited or had any abnormally loose stool within the prior 24 hours.
- A child who has had contagious conjunctivitis (pink eye) or pus draining from the eye.
- A child with a bacterial infection, such as strep throat or impetigo, who has not yet completed 24 hours of antimicrobial therapy.
- A child whose nose must be wiped more than three times or is otherwise profusely runny, with either green or clear mucus.
- A child with unexplained lethargy.
- A child with untreated and/or contagious lice, ringworm, or scabies.
- A child with a temperature of 99 degrees axially or higher.
- A child with an undiagnosed rash or a rash attributable to a contagious illness or condition.
- A child with significant respiratory distress (a bad cough).
- A child who is not able to participate in child center activities in reasonable comfort.
- A child who requires more care than our staff can provide without compromising the health and safety of other children.

CLIMBING AND BOULDERING
We have adopted climbing and bouldering rules to promote the safe use of our climbing wall area ("climbing cavern"). Some centers may have additional rules as required by state law. If you violate our climbing cavern rules, we may terminate your climbing or bouldering privileges and/or your membership.
- General Rules. All persons who are climbing or bouldering ("you" or climbers") must comply at all times with posted signs and directions or instructions from our staff. No person may climb or boulder unless an approved Life Time staff member is present in the climbing cavern.
- Age and Weight Limits. All climbers must be at least five years old to enter the climbing cavern. No climber under the age of 12 ("junior climber") may belay or lead climb. The belayer must be of equal or greater weight than the climber. (New Jersey centers have different age, weight and height requirements; please consult your center).
- Junior Climber Supervision. Junior climbers must be directly and actively supervised at all times by a parent or guardian unless enrolled in a Life Time-supervised program. Direct and active supervision means that the parent or guardian visually observes and physically attends to the climber at all times while in the climbing cavern, including performing the pre-climbing checks below.
- Proof of Payment or Membership. Prior to entering the climbing cavern, you must provide proof of payment and/or membership level to a Life Time team member.
- Waiver of Liability. You must read, complete and execute a Waiver and Release of Liability at least once per year. If you are under age 18, your parent or legal guardian must execute a Waiver and Release of Liability before you use the climbing cavern.
- Climbing Card. You must initial your Climbing Wall Card prior to each use of the climbing cavern.
- Equipment and Attire.You may use only approved climbing equipment and climbing (or athletic) shoes in the climbing cavern (e.g., you may not climb in bare feet, sandals, or in hard-soled or lug shoes.) You may use chalk balls only, not powdered or block chalk.
- New Climber Orientation. If you are a new climber to Life Time, prior to climbing, you must receive from a Life Time team member a basic facility orientation, which includes an automatic belayer ("auto belay") orientation. Once you have completed this facility orientation, we will create for you a climbing card which you must initial and date each time you visit the cavern regardless of your intended climbing activity.
- Check Out with Life Time Staff. If you wish to belay (top rope or lead), you must pass a belay checkout test in which you demonstrate safety and competence in manual belay (i.e., use of the proper belaying technique, commands, and fall arrests). If you complete this checkout course, we will update your level of certification on your climbing wall card. You must recertify with us annually to ensure that your skills are up-to-date.
- Double Check Exchange with Each Other. Before beginning each climb, the climber and the belayer must double check each other's gear. The belayer must check the climber's gear, including specifically but not limited to the harness, knots and ropes (assuring both climber and belayer are attached to the same rope). The climber must check the belayer's system. Both must exchange confirmation that the equipment is properly prepared. This critically important step must be performed vigilantly at the start of each and every climb.
- Climbing. In an attempt to avoid dangerous swings or unsafe climbing situations, climbers should only climb on designated routes or by following a vertical path, for example while using the auto belay. The belayer must pay attention to the climber, keeping him or her in the line of sight at all times. When not actively climbing you may not hang on daisy-chained ropes, touch or climb on video cameras, auto belay equipment, lead route anchors or other non-climbing equipment.
- Bouldering. You must have at least one spotter at all times while bouldering. You may not boulder above the shoulder height of whomever is shorter-the climber or the spotter.
- Lessons. We offer climbing lessons. For instructional purposes, lessons in progress have priority on routes. If an instructor needs your climbing route for a lesson, the instructor may require that you vacate or refrain from using a particular route.

We require that you respect all gymnasium equipment and facilities, including balls, nets, racquets, hoops and backboards. You may not engage in any rough play, excessive arguments, or profanity. Please carefully observe your surroundings, including any permanent or temporary structures. Unless otherwise permitted (e.g., water bottles), you may not bring or set bags, clothing, cell phones, food or other items in the gymnasium. No juniors (children under 12) may sit at edge of the gymnasium. If you fail to follow these rules, you may be required to leave the gymnasium or the center and/or your membership or guest privileges may be suspended or terminated.
- Basketball. During open court time, only members and their guests may play pick-up basketball; organized team practices are not allowed.
- Game Play. Games are first come, first play. Winners stay on the court. Call your own fouls. No dunking. If fewer than five players are waiting when a game ends, losing team members shoot from the top of the key for the remaining spots in next game. If more than five players are waiting when a game ends, you must sign up to play on the court sign-up sheet; the next five listed players who are present at courtside form the next team. If you are absent, you are skipped until the next game. If you choose not to play, your name moves to the bottom of the list.
- Game Scoring. Players on the court keep score. Games are played to eleven points, win by two, stop at fifteen. Two pointers are worth one point; three pointers are worth two points. If clock play is permitted, the game clock will run for eleven minutes, beginning when the game starts. The first team to score eleven points or, if none, the team ahead after eleven minutes wins. The clock will stop for an injury, but not an argument.

GROUP FITNESS and LIFE STUDIO
We offer introductory to advanced group fitness classes focused on cardio (e.g., athletic and choreographed), flexibility, balance and strength. We also offer mind/body classes in our Life Studio, including yoga and Pilates.
- Reserving Space or Equipment. Any space or equipment that is unoccupied five minutes prior to class is considered available for use by any class participant in the room. You may reserve up to two bikes only-for you and friend-on the day of the class by placing cycling shoes, a towel or a water bottle on each bike. You may not reserve bikes the night before a class. Earplugs are available in our studios or upon request. The equipment in our studios is for use by class participants only upon the instruction of Life Time team members.
- Class Etiquette. We request that you arrive for class a few minutes early to prepare your space or equipment (e.g., bike, yoga mat/props, etc.) and, as applicable, sign in. The warm up at the outset of the class is an important part of the work out. If you arrive late, please enter the class quietly and appropriately. Because classes are designed as group activities, you should follow the instructor's routines or instructions consistent with your personal abilities and limits. You must wait for a class to conclude before entering the studio to prepare for the next scheduled class. Please wear attire and, except for yoga, shoes appropriate for the class. You must have a sweat towel for cycle and mat work, and may keep closeable, unbreakable water bottles at the perimeter of the studio. No other personal effects are permitted in the studio. Your cell phones must be turned off or in silent mode. After class, please wipe down and return all equipment to its proper place. Only Life Time team members may operate the stereo and lighting equipment.
- Special Yoga Etiquette. To avoid disruption, you should not enter class during opening meditation or leave during the closing resting pose. If you must leave class, please inform the instructor at the outset and do so before the final pose. You may not wear shoes in the Life Studio. You should wear comfortable layered, stretchable clothes, and no shoes, perfumes, or heavy jewelry.

LIFESPA & SALON
Our LifeSpa & Salon offers services and products such hair, skin, nail and body care, including massage.
- Services. LifeSpa & Salon services are open to members, guests and non-members. Upon signing a waiver of liability, guests and non-members may use the LifeSpa & Salon inside the center, and their children may use the child center subject to its rules above. Our services and prices vary by location and the level of education, training and success of our team members who perform the service.
- Service Cancellations. If you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, you must provide notice to the LifeSpa & Salon at least 24 hours in advance. Changes made without 24-hour notice are subject to a 25% cancellation fee. If you fail to properly cancel or reschedule three or more services, you may have to prepay for future services and forego a refund if such services are not properly cancelled with 24-hour advance notice.

- Services. Our personal training services include instruction, coaching, advice, lessons or demonstration concerning physical exercise, physical fitness, exercise strategies, nutrition, wellness, fitness products, fitness equipment and other fitness-related activities by personal trainers, nutrition coaches, teaching pros or other instructors ("personal training"). Personal training services are available to members, typically for a fee per session, upon completion of a Fitness Program Agreement.
- No Personal Training by Members or Guests. You may not solicit or conduct on the premises any personal training as defined above, with or without compensation. Life Time retains sole discretion to determine whether a member or guest is engaged in personal training.

- Age Limit. You must be at least 12 years old to enter and use the fitness floor. In some centers, you must be at least 15 years old to use the free weight area.
- Equipment. You must follow all safety procedures for equipment use, including but not limited to using safety clips or stops on mechanical equipment and refraining from dropping free weights. If you have any questions about equipment use, please see a Life Time personal trainer to familiarize yourself with its use. You must turn off, return or replace equipment to its original condition when you are not using it, even temporarily. Please wipe down equipment with sanitary wipes before and after use.
- Equipment Reservation. You may not reserve equipment for your personal use, such as with a towel, sign or note unless otherwise permitted (such as immediately prior to a scheduled Group Fitness class). You must honor all signs on equipment, including notices that the equipment has been reserved (e.g., for group or class use) or is out or service for maintenance.
- Equipment in Disrepair. If you notice that any equipment is in disrepair, do not use it. Please report it immediately to a Life Time team member. We are not responsible for injuries sustained while using equipment, even in the event of equipment failure, malfunction or disrepair.
- Personal Items. You may not use chalk in the weight area. Unless otherwise permitted (e.g., water bottles), you may not bring or set bags, clothing, food or other items on the equipment or fitness floor. You may not bring or use cell phones or laptops on the fitness floor, including specifically while using any equipment.

- Court Reservations. You must reserve squash, racquetball, and tennis courts through the center's Front Desk or Tennis Desk, or by reserving online through myLT.com. You may reserve an indoor tennis court for a fee (or an outdoor tennis court for no fee) up to seven days in advance. You may reserve up to 90 minutes of racquetball or 60 minutes of squash court time up to three days in advance. You are limited to one racquetball and one squash reservation per day. Except at some centers, you are not limited to one tennis reservation per day.
- Attire and Eyewear. When playing any racquet sports, you must wear shoes with non-marking soles. When playing racquetball or squash, we strongly encourage that you wear protective eyewear approved by USA Racquetball or U.S. Squash.
- Tennis Dress Code:
- Proper tennis footwear is required.
- Attire designed specifically for tennis is suggested.
- Bathing suits, tank tops for men, and shirts that show the midriff for women are not permitted.
- Shirts must be worn at all times.
- Cut-offs, denim, and ragged clothing are not permitted
- Leagues and Lessons.
- Life Time Leagues and Lessons. We employ Life Time staff and online tools to facilitate play in tennis, racquetball and squash leagues, tournaments and programs at our centers. In centers with tennis, we also employ teaching pros who offer private tennis lessons. In some centers, we employ teaching pros or coordinators to provide private squash and/or racquetball lessons. - No Leagues or Lessons by Members or Guests. You may not host, organize or participate in informal or formal racquet sports leagues, tournaments or programs in our centers-whether for free or a fee-that are not sponsored, organized or sanctioned by Life Time. Also, whether or not you receive compensation for it, you may not teach private or personal tennis, racquetball or squash lessons in our centers. Life Time retains sole discretion to determine whether a member or guest is engaged in such conduct. See "Leagues" under General Policies above.
- Cancellation. Subject to the following cancellation policies, you may cancel a court reservation online through myLT.com, or a private lesson or participation in a Life Time league, tournament or other program via email to the pro or coordinator.
- Tennis. You will be charged a fee, or forfeit the prepaid fee, for any tennis court reservation, lesson, or participation in a Life Time tennis league, tournament or other program that you fail to cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Please see your center for applicable fees. Events hosted by third parties, such as the United States Tennis Association (USTA), may have their own additional cancellation requirements.
- Racquetball and Squash. You will be charged a fee if you fail to cancel your racquetball or squash court reservation at least 24 hours in advance. You will forfeit the fee for a private lesson if you fail to cancel at least 24 hours in advance. You will forfeit the fee for participation in a Life Time league, tournament or other program if you fail to cancel before the sign-up deadline, which is posted on myLT.com.
